File 01 — The Operator

Michael
Hanna.

A banker who codes. A founder who closes. The man behind the avatars, the algorithms, and the deals.

Thirty-five years across real estate, banking, fintech, and technology — Gulf to East Coast. Forty-two provisional patents in identity, AI, and blockchain — plus a non-provisional and a PCT preserving rights in 150+ countries. One operator moving fluently between capital, code, and creators — and refusing, by conviction, to be one thing.

02 — Identity

Built to do more than one thing.

Most operators get to specialize. I never did. The lending business taught me how regulators think. The years inside startup teams taught me how engineers build. The creator economy taught me what audiences actually want. Thirty-five years in, the through-line isn't a single discipline — it's the willingness to keep adding new ones. Three and a half decades across real estate, banking, fintech, and technology — two of those decades inside the lending business across Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and One-Time-Close construction. $350M+ in loan volume facilitated. Top of the Baton Rouge market with no warm pipeline.

Then I started building software.

"Innovation lives at the edge of discomfort. Real success comes from staying adaptable, learning faster than the world changes, and lifting others up as you climb."

Today I run two ventures: BMSachs Group, my consulting practice across capital, technology, and regulation; and JunkDNA.AI, a privacy-first identity protocol for the Web2 / Web3 / AI era — with a growing roster of verticals running on the JunkDNA stack: Klout Kast for the creator economy, MortgageMentor360.AI for lending, RenterTree.com for rental housing, and more behind them. Forty-two provisional patents, a non-provisional with 61 claims, and a PCT filing preserving rights in 150+ countries. A book of attorneys, CPAs, and operators built over three and a half decades. And the conviction that the next decade belongs to the people who can speak finance, code, and compliance in the same sentence.

04 — Capabilities

Five disciplines.
One operator.

i.
Mortgage Banking & Capital Markets

Two decades across Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and One-Time-Close construction. Pipeline architecture, regulator instinct, and underwriter logic — internalized.

ii.
AI & Identity Infrastructure

Verified credentials, zero-knowledge proofs, AI-avatar licensing, and the orchestration layer underneath all of it.

iii.
Blockchain & Smart-Contract Escrow

Real-time, credential-verified disbursements. Royalty automation. On-chain enforcement of off-chain promises.

iv.
Enterprise Sales & Strategic Partnerships

B2B and enterprise pipelines, multimillion-dollar deal closes, and a book of attorneys, CPAs, and SMB owners built over thirty-five years.

v.
Regulatory, Tax & Corporate Fluency

LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp structuring. Reading legal, tax, and financial documents with the underwriter's eye and the founder's intent.

05 — Velocity

How I build all this.

"How do you find
the time? "

The answer is leverage. AI has compressed the work that used to take 2–4 hours into 10–15 minutes. Research, drafting, code, design, patent specifications, partnership outreach — every category of work that bottlenecked a single founder now moves at 4–10× the old pace.

When every task collapses by an order of magnitude, multitasking stops being a vice and becomes the default operating mode.

So I build concurrently. Mortgage banking by day, JunkDNA by night, RenterTree on weekends, MortgageMentor360.AI in margin time. The patents stack because the tools stack. Two decades ago this portfolio would have taken a team of fifty and a decade. Today it takes one operator, a few well-tuned models, and the willingness to keep shipping.

Some of this is open source.

Parts of the JunkDNA stack — and several of the verticals running on top of it — are being built in the open. If you can write production code, design an interface humans actually want to use, ship growth, close enterprise contracts, or argue patent claims with examiners, there is room here for you. I'm assembling small teams across seven cities where I want to put roots down.
